After the Olympic gold in hockey in Canada, I was amazed of the very poor, even nonexistent jubilation on the streets of Montreal, arriving to give it jokingly to the "Canadian" of my fellow citizens today. The disorders last night following the Canadiens' victory and origin of name and nickname of the team, kindly explain to me recently by my colleague (French), show how it could still be far from the truth.
Rather, the Québec not mean a damn of Canada and its sporting achievements (even less than the average English to Catalan interests), I much prefer to follow the "real" Canadians , the Canadiens.
