First of all there is to say that Berlusconi is not exactly what I would call a fool or an idiot. This is demonstrated by its history and what it has created.
Then there is the record that holds the counter with the rejection of the award. And there's the euphoria of those who see the rejection of the immunity as the first real blow to democracy has settled in Berlusconi. But maybe it's too easy.
Now I will speculate on some points.
one point, the award. Although rejected, in Alfano has actually had time to give at least one result: the processes that saw Berlusconi accused have been suspended. regard to its genesis, it would be foolish not to believe that the law in question had not already been weighed previously. The judges of the Consulta are certainly not the only lawyers in Italy. Believing that he hopes to see Berlusconi approved the award, would be considered a fool.
Number two, the neurosis. The external number (which borders on contempt) toward his "persecutors", gave Berlusconi a real advantage: to shift the focus on his person. Explanations would lead inevitably to think that Berlusconi is considered defeated and now near the end, that if one part of wax is an Italian victory, another part (the one who votes on the PDL and that, inevitably, has a value greater parliamentary majority view) is yet another demonstration of the ongoing persecution against the prime minister who becomes, in the eyes of those who want to see such a victim as it ever was before. A victim this time was "betrayed" by the President of the Republic, the Constitutional Court, perhaps even the Constitution. In short, a victim betrayed by the state, a state from which prompts us to begin to distrust, was an unreliable and conspirator.
Place two encores, the neurosis. Looking at the results you may think that the statements may seem crazy and hysterical were not thrown them in a moment of nervousness. In addition to what is written in paragraph two, there has been a different outcome to this: toughen the internal relations within the opposition. The thing is pretty easy, moreover, with a PD who can not in any way to stand up and with a Di Pietro, who continues to bite (he is, without criteria) which should not. PD with a primary focus on (not that you ever concentrated on something outside the party), you would not have expected a better result.
Step three, the arrogance. Berlusconi's arrogance has made ample display in recent days. But even this has not been used for free. Besides becoming a victim, Berlusconi had a strong need to be seen. And strong it is, but not so little as he would have us believe. At this point one would think that the early elections at a time like this would be a masterstroke as it most likely would be reappointed as prime minister and even stronger than before.
Step Four, the PDL. Berlusconi seems determined to avoid the square. E 'dry state to reject the ideas of an event since he is fully entitled to govern. And this is true, a manifestation at this time would be useless if not harmful. It would be ludicrous as the argument, something akin to an act of force really undemocratic. The true measure of strength is to not do it before "be forced" by his electorate that is crying.
Step five, Berlusconi is not a fool. This is brief in his numerous processes Berlusconi has never needed an award. Why now?
point six others. The others are those who do not vote PDL, from left, those who voted PDL or those hoping for Fini hoping that it will vote in Fini. The others are those who do not want Berlusconi to power. The others are those that take into account the views of the foreign press. They are the ones that have a civic sense. They are the ones who still believe in Italy. Well, Italy did not believe in you it seems, because otherwise things are going. Before unleashing the enthusiasm would be good to reflect and prepare to cash in on the next shot. Maybe this has been really the first victory against the prime minister, but is certainly not its end. Berlusconi still has a huge advantage: no major opponent.
